Apple Summer filmmaking for Kids

Apple Summer filmmaking for Kids

Ok this isn’t at all business related but never the less I thought those of you with kids might be interested in this for the summer holidays.

Apple will be running short (free) courses aimed at kids 8-12. This will be in the form of 2 weekday 90 minute workshops where they will learn about filmmaking and then create a short film of their own – using Apple applications and products obviously.

With an optional 3rd session where they screen the film they have made to friends and family.

Blurb from the Apple website:

“A fun, free workshop where kids become filmmakers.

At Apple Summer Camp, kids ages 8-12 learn the ins and outs of iMovie and how to make a film in about the time it takes to watch one. The workshop, held at the Apple Retail Store, spans three days, and leads up to an Apple Camp Film Festival where campers debut their masterpieces.”

You can sign up to be notified when registration is open here I imagine they will fill up quite quickly so if you are interested you will need to be on the ball.
