IT Support - Disaster Recover Software

Breakthrough in Disaster Recovery Software

At BITS, we’re always keen to test out the latest advancement in business-related technology, both for our own use and our customers’. Sometimes these technologies are all hype, but other times, they can be genuine breakthroughs, which can get IT geeks like us fairly excited!

One such example is a new form of Disaster Recovery software known as ‘ShadowProject’ from StorageCraft.

As you all know, firms that use IT systems as part of their daily business activity are strongly advised to use disaster recovery software to back up and secure their data should anything disastrous (pardon the pun) happen.

What we have found makes this software stand out from the pack is the speed and flexibility it allows. For example, unlike rival products, your data can be restored not only onto the original hardware, but to new hardware or even onto a ‘virtual’ machine.

Speed-wise, it can back up a 100 GB server in as little as 30 minutes and restore it in even less time, which is pretty fast in comparison to other software.

More information can be found here

The BITS team have since become fully trained on ShadowProject so don’t hesitate to let us know if you’re interested in the product.

You can easily contact us by email, via our enquiry form or simply call us on 01373 888 333. Posted by Lee Edge on 13/10/2009
