Windows 7 coming soon
This month sees the new Windows operating system – Windows 7 – move into production.
With a planned release date of October, Windows 7 is designed to be a more polished and user-friendly update to the Windows Operating System, as opposed to the massive leap seen between Windows XP and Vista. Indeed, all Vista compatible applications will work in Windows 7.
So what can we expect from Microsoft this time around?
Among other things, Windows 7 will see advances in touch and handwriting recognition, support for Virtual Hard Drives, improved Media tools, and crucially it will work with your hardware to make loading times, processing and boot-speeds faster.
One other interesting thing to note is that they are removing the classic Start Menu interface which has been a recognisable feature going back to Windows 95, replacing it with a more sleek task bar system.
We look forward to seeing what Microsoft has in store for us!
