Outlook 2010 - How to send an email without using the mouse

If you are anything like me you will be in and out of Outlook all day long sending and receiving emails so avoiding using the mouse can save you a lot of time, not to mention aches and pains.

Give this routine a go, you'll be amazed how quickly you pick it up and how much easier it makes things for you - you might even get a taste for it and look for more keyboard shortcuts to save you time.

In Mail view:

1. Press Ctrl + N - this opens a new email window, the cursor is in the to field by default.

2. Type the name/address of the person you are emailing.

3. Press Tab - this moves the cursor to the cc box, type the name/address of the person you wish to cc the email to or leave blank.

4. Press Tab - this moves the cursor to the subject field, type your subject.

5. Press Tab - this moves the cursor to the main body of the email, type your email as normal.

6. Press F7 to spell check your message.

7. Press Alt + S - this will send the email.

Give it a go; you'll be amazed how much time it can save you by not using the mouse.
